a lookout

Before stepping onto the venue for the Penguin Parade, our tour guide stopped at this lovely lookout. The waves, the breeze, and the almost-sunset lighting were perfection.

On Campus

Looking a bit stressed during this photoset, as it was shot in between classes, during my break, on a school day. Nonetheless, I’m pleased with the photos THE _positivity (Aya Cabauatan) shot of me. We shot this a week ago, when the weather was a bit cooler, unlike the sweltering heat we’ve been experiencing these days. I still can’t believe that these photos were taken on campus. Ateneo is REALLY beautiful and sometimes, I just can’t help but admire how the light hits certain buildings or shines through trees.

Jill Chan

Played dress up with Jill last Thursday. She and I’ve been friends for almost 14 years, and so we’ve literally grown up alongside each other. I am so proud how much she has accomplished, and how beautiful her outlook on life is. We threw petals on the ground and armed ourselves with our cameras that afternoon. She shot me (Jill is a PRO) & I got to shoot her. We were inspired by the flowers she got (hehe #Vday #maylovelifesiya #akowala) I cannot wait to work on more passion projects with this girl!

Check out her layout of me + her other amazing shoots at her blog: jillxchan.tumblr.com

Posh Possibilities

Daphne Siy and Candis Yu

Two Saturdays ago, I played photographer and shot my high school friends /slash/ blogger duo, Daphney Siy and Candis Yu of Posh Possibilities. Yay for collaborating with people I’ve known for years and years. I’ve never really taken photos of anyone other than my mother before so I was super excited to see what it’s like to be behind the lens. I’m really pleased that these two girls were my first models. I have so much to learn about photography so I’m excited that I’ve taken my first step into delving into this!

These photos that I’m sharing are actually the second set we shot that day, so be on the lookout for when I post the first set. Also, don’t forget to check their blog out for your dose of fashion.

Hello! I’m starting a series of sort, featuring some people whom I can’t describe in more accurate terms than as to having a “friend crush*” on them, asking about their college experience. These are the people I look up to, and people I find genuine and inspiring.

Here is the first introduction. This is Louise Tam. She is a graduating senior from AdMU.

Louise (I call her Tami cause I’m spesh) was my classmate during my 7:30 AM, T-Th, Environmental Science class during my first semester ever in college. It was interesting to find out that we are actually related, albeit in a very distant way. Still, meeting her felt very special and almost “destined.” (chz, but you know some people whom you feel like you just *had* to meet?)

In this video, I asked her to share her best college advice, thoughts, learnings, and experiences. She brought up the honest reality of how it’s okay to not have everything all figured out once you’ve reached adulthood (or at least reaching the ages that don’t end in “-teen” anymore.)

Korean Inspired Makeup Look

Hey! Today, I share how I get my current every day makeup look inspired by (of course) k-drama makeup. I love how it’s simple, fresh, and glowy. Click the video to see how I’ve achieved the look, and scroll down to read more descriptions about each product that I’ve used.

sunset at Phillip Island

Philip Island’s gorgeous sunset graced my eyes while I waited for the foot-long penguins to wade their way up to the beach front. The colors of the waters and sky made the wait worthwhile. When the sun went down, little penguins started to surface from the water in batches, and they made their way up to their homes. It’s prohibited to take photos of the penguins for the preservation of the park. Even so, this was an experience I would never forget.

*cue: “when the waves are flooding the shore and I can’t find my way home anymore…” imy, Miley

farmer dreams in full force

My trip to Australia last Summer ranks high on my “favorite places I’ve visited” list. Some of its highlights include seeing breathtaking sceneries, petting fluffy animals, and meeting my little cousins. For the next couple of posts, I will be sharing some photos I was able to take during my stay there. I hope you will enjoy them!
